Sam was always near by helping with fabrication of custom chassis’s, and many one-off parts while continuing his 4stroke power pursuits with the ATC200X. Sam ultimately went into business for himself and became very involved with ATV engine performance adding in his favorite 2 stroke ATV’s for development. His engine performance development with the Yamaha Banshee and most recently Raptor and Rhino is well known throughout the U.S. 

After retiring from ATV racing in 1988, The brothers came together competitively again in 1993 to race, win, and set a course record at the world renown Pikes Peak Hill Climb.

Sam has continued to stay involved in engine performance R&D. His entire working career has been in the motorcycle and ATV performance business. He has worked with many of the industries top tuners like Jim Fueling. Sam also worked at JE Pistons.

Amazingly, 4 strokes are now all the rage and nearly all of the most popular motorcycle and ATV manufacturers are using the 4 stroke engine in their machines! Sam is now in a “comfort zone” working on all of the new 4 strokes making their way to market.
